Saturday, Jun 15, 2019

7:30pm – 9:30pm

Join us for a program about beetles presented by entomologist and author, Dr. Art Evans. The presentation begins at 7:30 PM and will be immediately followed by an evening of beetle fun! Several black light sheets will be set up to attract nocturnal beetles and other insects. Select beetles will be collected as part of an effort to document the fauna of The Clifton Institute.

Dr. Evans is an adjunct professor and teaches entomology and medical entomology at the University of Richmond, Randolph-Macon College, and Virginia Commonwealth University. He is also a trustee and research associate at the Virginia Museum of Natural History, and a research collaborator in the Department of Entomology, National Museum of Natural History, Smithsonian Institution. He co-hosts What’s Bugging You?, a weekly segment on insects that airs every Tuesday on WCVE Richmond Public Radio.

All interest and skill levels welcome!
