Human-Wildlife Conflict: Across the Globe and at Home

Wednesday, Mar 27, 2019

6:30pm – 8:00pm

Human-wildlife conflict is a topic that conjures images of elephants bulldozing fences and dangerous, ‘man-eating’ tigers. The stories that make the news are often highly sensationalized and occur far from home. What is human-wildlife conflict and what can we do about it? Our Education Associate, Alison Zak, M.A. will talk about her anthropological research on the topic. Then we will apply the same concepts and questions to local examples of coexistence and conflict with species such as coyotes, black bears, and more!

Doors will open at 6:30PM. Enjoy a drink and snacks until the talk begins at 7:00PM.
