Book Club: The Home Place

Thursday, Apr 29, 2021

6:00pm – 8:00pm

Join us for an evening of friendly, informal discussion with fellow nature lovers. This spring, the Clifton Institute Book Club will read The Home Place: Memoirs of a Colored Man’s Love Affair with Nature by J. Drew Lanham.

Order your copy of the book from The Old Town Open Book in Warrenton to support our community’s local, independent bookstore!

Cost: Free!

Age: Adults

Weather policy: Date and time subject to change. Please check your email for updates on the morning of the event.

COVID-19 information: This program will occur completely outside and is limited to 10 people. Please DO NOT attend if you or anyone in your household has experienced any symptoms related to the coronavirus in the last two weeks. The farmhouse will be closed.

Cancellation policy: If you register and can no longer attend this event, please let us know as soon as possible. Due to smaller group size limits imposed by COVID, many of our events have waitlists, and a few ‘no-shows’ have a significant impact. We encourage you to come and participate even if you haven’t finished the book!

What to wear: Dress for the weather.

What to bring: Mask (required)

Registration REQUIRED: By clicking the ‘Register’ button below, you agree that you have read and understood the information included on our liability release form (click here). We look forward to seeing you at the Clifton Institute!
