Christmas Bird Count
Sunday, Dec 20, 2020
8:00am – 5:00pm
Join us for our annual Christmas Bird Count! We’ll spend the day surveying the birds in our 15-mile-diameter count circle which includes a variety of habitats. We usually see a nice diversity of waterfowl and grassland birds. There’s always a chance for Short-eared Owl and American Tree Sparrow!
Age: Adults and children accompanied by an adult
Weather policy: Rain or shine
COVID-19 information: This program will occur entirely outside and groups are limited in size. We will practice social distancing and wear masks, so please bring one with you. Please DO NOT participate if you or anyone in your household has experienced any symptoms related to the coronavirus in the last two weeks.
What to wear: Dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes.
What to bring: Mask (required), binoculars, camera, water, snacks
Registration REQUIRED: Our sector teams are now full. If you want to bird with us, please join us for one of our upcoming twice monthly bird walks. Thanks!
