CANCELED Mindful Naturalists: Haiku Hike
Saturday, Oct 10, 2020
3:00pm – 5:00pm
This event has been canceled.
Haiku is a short poetry form that inspires both nature observation and mindful attention to the present moment. Alison will give a brief presentation on how to write haiku and then turn you loose to explore our trails and practice writing your own haiku. Finally, participants will have the opportunity to share their work at the end of the program during a mini poetry reading. Poets of all abilities, including beginners, are welcome and encouraged to attend! We prioritize mindful experiences in nature over the resulting poems, and no one will be asked to share if they are not comfortable 🙂
This program is free, occurs entirely outdoors with social distancing, and is intended for an adult audience.
Please bring paper, pencils, a mask, and dress for the weather.
IMPORTANT: Registration is required- please use the button below. If you register for this event and can no longer attend, please let us know as soon as possible. Due to smaller group size limits already imposed by COVID-19, many of our events have waitlists, and a few ‘no-shows’ can have a significant impact on the success of a program. We enjoy planning, promoting, and hosting these events and want to make sure they are available to everyone who is interested in attending. We appreciate your support and we’ll see you soon!
