1:00pm – 3:00pm

We’ve added a second, weekday option for our monthly YHikes! (Youth Hikes) with the following additional guidelines to keep everyone safe:

-There will be no bathrooms available and no access to the farmhouse

-No sharing of binoculars, hand lens, etc.

-Masks are required when social distancing is not possible

-Limited group size

Families with children ages 6 and up are invited to come along as we explore the field station and learn about the animals, fungi and plants that live here. You never know what we’ll find! This program is an wonderful opportunity for families to explore nature together. We pick a different trail to explore each month and usually move slowly as we stop often to look at and learn about all the different species that live in northern Virginia.

This event is free. Closed-toe, preferably waterproof, shoes or boots, hats, sunscreen, bug spray, and water bottles are recommended.
