Mindful Naturalists: Barefoot Hike

Thursday, Aug 20, 2020

6:00pm – 7:30pm

Mindful Naturalists is a FREE program series designed to inspire appreciating each moment of our observations in nature. Each month we will experiment with different practices that help us mindfully experience the natural world while enjoying a peaceful evening at our beautiful field station.

This month we will explore one of our trails in a new way: shoeless and soleful! Barefoot hiking is good for your feet, good for the trail, and offers a new way of experiencing nature through the sense of touch. We’ll walk a well-maintained, easy trail, move slowly, and bring a pair of shoes just in case. Please also bring a water bottle and dress for the weather. This program is free and open to ages 12+.

To keep everyone safe, we will adhere to the following guidelines.

-The entire program will take place outside.

-There will be no access to bathrooms or the farmhouse.

-We will socially distance and stay 6 feet apart.

-The program will be limited to 10 people.

Please use the button below to register. If you are registered and can no longer attend this event please let us know as soon as possible. Due to smaller group size limits already imposed by COVID, many of our events have waitlists, and a few ‘no-shows’ can have a significant impact on the success of a program. We enjoy planning, promoting, and hosting these events and want to make sure they are available to everyone who is interested in attending. Thank you!
