Mindful Naturalists: Nature Yoga

Wednesday, Jul 15, 2020

6:00pm – 7:00pm

Mindful Naturalists is a FREE program series designed to inspire appreciating each moment of our observations in nature. Each month we will experiment with different practices that help us mindfully experience the natural world while enjoying a peaceful evening at our beautiful field station.

This all-levels yoga class will be taught by Education Associate, Alison Zak, who strongly believes that our yoga practices benefit from moving out of our homes and yoga studios and into nature because doing so can help us feel more connected. When we feel a sense of union with the world around us, we are more likely to act with compassion toward ourselves and all living beings, on and off of our mats. That’s what yoga is all about!

No previous yoga experience required. Please dress for the weather and bring a yoga mat/towel/blanket, and a bottle of water. Ages 12 and up.

To keep everyone safe, we will adhere to the following guidelines:

-There will be no access to bathrooms and the farmhouse will be closed.

-We will space our mats at a distances of 6ft+

-The entire program will occur outside.

-The class will be limited to ten students maximum.

Please use the button below to register. If are registered and can no longer attend this event please let us know as soon as possible. Due to smaller group size limits already imposed by COVID, many of our events have waitlists, and a few ‘no-shows’ can have a significant impact on the success of a program. We enjoy planning, promoting, and hosting these events and want to make sure they are available to everyone who is interested in attending. Thank you!
