Book Club: Prodigal Summer
Friday, Aug 21, 2020
6:00pm – 8:00pm
This summer, the Clifton Institute Book Club will read fiction for the first time! We’ve chosen Prodigal Summer by bestselling author and Virginia native, Barbara Kingsolver. Described as a “hymn to wilderness that celebrates the prodigal spirit of human nature, and of nature itself,” this novel “weaves together three stories of human love within a larger tapestry of lives amid the mountains and farms of southern Appalachia.”
Join us outside on a summer evening for an informal book discussion with fellow nature lovers. The book is available through The Old Town Open Book in Warrenton. Order in store, online, or over the phone (curbside pickup is available). Mention The Clifton Institute Book Club to receive a discount of 10% off (or type this information into the comments box if ordering online).
