YHikes! Youth Nature Hike

Saturday, Jun 13, 2020

10:00am – 4:00pm

We are resuming our monthly Saturday YHikes! Youth Hikes with the following added guidelines to keep everyone safe:

-There will be no bathrooms available and no access to the farmhouse.

-The group will be limited to ten people or fewer.

-We will adhere to social distancing recommendations and keep 6 feet apart.

-Wearing masks is recommended.

Families with children ages 6 and older are invited to come along as we explore the field station and learn about the animals, fungi and plants that live here. You never know what we’ll find! This program is an intentionally unstructured opportunity for families to explore nature together. We pick a different trail to explore each month and usually move slowly as we stop often to look at and learn about all the different species that live in northern Virginia.

This event is free. Closed-toe, preferably waterproof, shoes or boots, hats, sunscreen, bug spray, and water bottles are recommended.

When registering using the button below, PLEASE REPORT THE TOTAL NUMBER OF ATTENDEES INCLUDING ADULTS AND CHILDREN so that we get an accurate group count. Additionally, if your plans change and you are no longer able to attend, please email Alison at azak@cliftoninstitute.org so we can open those spots to another family.
