Colors of Clifton: Preserving the Palette of Autumn PART 2

6:00pm – 8:00pm

How can you gently hold onto the grasses, fields and flowers of autumn? How can you keep the warm colors of fall in your home throughout the winter?

This event is the second session of a two part program:

Sunday, September 29

2-6 pm

  • Gather native plants and learn their special qualities with naturalist, Regina Yurkonis
  • Learn to make natural dyes as you coax the colors from your leaves, flowers, bark and roots with historical home arts interpreter, Feliecia Brooks
  • Dye wool and press botanical specimens for the next session

Friday, October 11

6-8 pm

  • Come back to combine your naturally dyed wool and pressed plants to create a unique framed artwork while enjoying refreshments and friendship
Registration and materials fee: $75 per person ($60 for Friends of Clifton)
