Raptor Migration Field Trip

September 18 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Every fall raptors migrate south along the Appalachian Mountains. Come and witness the peak migration of Broad-winged Hawks. If we’re lucky we might see thousands! Executive Director and ornithologist Bert Harris will lead the group and discuss how to identify raptors in flight. We will meet at Snickers Gap, where there’s an excellent view of migrating raptors and other birds.
