DESCRIPTION:Join us for our monthly Saturday YHikes! (Youth Hikes). Families with children ages 6 and older are invited to come along as we explore the field station and learn about the animals, fungi and plants that live here. You never know what we’ll find! This program is an intentionally unstructured opportunity for families to explore nature together. We pick a different trail to explore each month and usually move slowly as we stop often to look at and learn about all the different species that live in northern Virginia. Feel free to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy on the property at the end of the hike!

PLEASE NOTE: We have recently changed the timing of this program to 10am-12pm.

This event is free. Closed-toe, preferably waterproof, shoes or boots, hats, sunscreen, bug spray, and water bottles are recommended.
