DESCRIPTION:This summer\, we will read and discuss the essay collection World of Wonders: In Praise of Fireflies\, Whale Sharks\, and Other Astonishments by Aimee Nezhukumatathil\, “hands-down one of the most beautiful books of the year\,” according to NPR. To support our local independent bookstore\, you can purchase your copy online or in store at Old Town Open Book. \nOur book discussions are typically small and informal. You don’t even have to have finished the book to attend! DESCRIPTION:Hey grownups! Have you ever wished you could come to one of our nature camps? Well\, now you can! This August we are offering our first ever weekend-long Nature Camp for Grownups. Activities will start on the morning of August 28\, go through a campfire that night\, resume on the morning of August 29\, and conclude that afternoon. Activities may include competitive BioBlitzes\, nature journaling\, outdoor yoga\, a bird walk\, mini science projects\, crafts\, and more. And of course we’ll be making friends and having fun the whole time! \nWe’ll provide dinner and s’mores on Saturday night and some sweet treats on Sunday morning; you’ll bring bag lunches both days. All materials for crafts and other projects will be included. This is not sleep away camp – at least not yet – so you’ll go home to your own bed on Saturday night. \nCost: $155 ($140 for Friends of Clifton) \nAge: Adults only \nWeather policy: Date and time subject to change dependent on weather.
